10A. Timetables

The timetables in The Academy are pretty set. Everyone has lessons in most subjects, and they all have a specialist stream, which they have more classes in. Ando, Nita and Susie are all in the computer stream. With the specialist streams, students will study several aspects of that stream and will also have sessions of free choice. Other than the specialist streams, all B block students follow the same timetable (and each block has its own, similar timetable)

Other streams include sports (Irina and Niamh are in this stream), arts and crafts (Jenny), language and communication, education and social care (Keisha), mathematics and science, music and performance, engineering, medicine, management and administration. You may notice some key subjects are missing – more on that in time.

Saturday is the only day that’s different.

I’m curious as to of what they’re supposed to be citizens in that citizenship class…

Group discussions? With a moderator, I’m guessing?

    • Rad says:

Saturday is a bit lighter, to give them a bit of rest. But only a bit!

Citizenship is pretty important here…… you’ll find out in time what that’s all about.

Yes, group discussions with a moderator.

  2. Simslia says:

I was going to ask if Citizenship is important.
I feel like they’re trying to set up a properly functioning society.. hence the need for an education and social care stream.

I guess ‘they’ would also have to groom some individuals to take over for them as well.. unless they live forever.. but for some reason I’m guessing thats not the case.

You have put a lot of time into this, Rad! That’s what makes your story so amazing!

What I’m wondering is how they manage to have people specialize in Education, with no students to teach? And why they even need said specialty…Will they be released, eventually? To be teachers? Or are they learning how to teach a particular something, a certain propaganda?

So many questions, and the answers only lie in the months ahead 🙂

    • Rad says:

Well, you will indeed find out the importance of some of the subjects in time. Ha, you knew I would say that, didn’t you?
